RDNS provides professional nursing and healthcare in the following areas:
We provide home nursing and healthcare to veterans, some allied healthcare (e.g. social work) and our Homeless Persons Program (HPP) delivers care to people experiencing homelessness.
We also provide individually planned and coordinated packages of care, tailored to help frail older Australians to remain living at home. Community Aged Care Packages (CACPs) packages are designed for people who need assistance with bathing, meals, shopping and getting around.
Extended Aged Care at Home (EACH) and Extended Aged Care at Home – Dementia (EACH-D) are tailored packages of care for people with more complex needs, and require services such as registered nursing care, care by a physiotherapist, podiatrist or other type of allied health care, personal care, transport to appointments, social support, home help and assistance with oxygen and/or enteral feeding.
In addition, we provide fee-for-service healthcare, such as Hospital-in-the-Home and Post-Acute Care.
RDNS is also an endorsed service provider for the delivery of WorkHealth checks - a voluntary program to promote health and wellbeing to employees, assisting them to create a more productive workforce.

RDNS also operates TasCarepoint in Hobart on behalf of the Tasmanian government, providing a central point for people to access community care services. TasCarepoint provides a screening process which recommends the type of community care services a client or carer can receive. Referrals are forwarded to service providers who deliver community care services. Service providers such as hospitals and general practitioners can also use TasCarepoint to refer clients into the community care system. For more information on TasCarepoint phone 1300 769 699 or fax 1300 721 611.
Home and Community Care (HACC) services provided by RDNS are jointly funded by the Victorian and Australian Governments.
