How You Can Help RDNS
Royal District Nursing Service > How You Can Help RDNS

Every day, RDNS cares for over 9,000 people who depend on us to maintain their health and independence, so they can remain living where they feel most comfortable 'at home'.

Being a charity, we receive some government funding for our services, but every year, the gap between that funding and what we need to meet the community's demand, gets bigger.

Consequently, we rely heavily on the community to support our work so we can continue to provide vital healthcare services to those in need.

Each month we:

Provide 48,458 hours of nursing care
Provide 2,237 hours of care to the homeless
Provide 24,748 hours of wound care
Provide 33,691 hours of care to people aged over 70
Travel 741,666 kilometres
Maintain 598 cars
Provided $7,603 in nutritional support to the homeless
