How is RDNS funded?
RDNS is an independent charitable organisation that receives approximately 80% of its funding from Government. The balance of funding is raised by RDNS via a number of sources including fundraising activities such as appeals, sponsorship, bequests and gifts from philanthropic organisations.
What types of fundraising does RDNS engage in?
What is our cost of fundraising?
We pride ourselves on keeping our cost of fundraising to a minimum. In the 2007/08 financial year, our cost of fundraising was only 16 cents in the dollar. Despite this being better than current industry standards (as reported by Givewell, a major Australian fundraising research institute) we are always seeking ways to further reduce our costs.
